Fitness work for Equestrians is as important as in any sport

Do you want to improve your riding?

Maybe you have an old injury that you’ve been ignoring for years that is holding you back?

Or you’d just like to feel a little bit fitter and stronger when you are working with your horse(s)?

There is only so much we can do with lessons and while in the saddle!

I teach you how to improve your riding position with bespoke ‘out of saddle’ training.

This can also help you improve long-standing injuries, that you may have suffered throughout the years.

If you are tired of struggling with the same issues over and over again let me explain how I can help you with my tailored 8-week support.

Are you an Equestrian who…

  • Is frustrated that your horse won't listen to you when in hand or in the saddle - and you feel like you are constantly arguing with your horse instead of working together.

  • Feels unbalanced and lacking in confidence when riding, making you nervous and likely to tense up when your horse spooks (or even just looks at something funny).

  • Can’t seem to shift that niggly shoulder/hip/knee injury, it doesn’t just bother you while riding now; the thought of bending over to grab something really makes you cringe.

  • No matter how much you practice or how many lessons that you take you just can’t seem to get it right. You dread lessons where you get yelled at for the same thing every week, no matter how hard you try.

  • Your back ACHES while riding, working around the yard AND at home, playing with your kids and doing normal things like shopping.

  • Heat packs and rolling aren’t working anymore - that dull ache or tightness is always there

What if I told you?

  • You and your horse CAN work together as a partnership, no longer fighting with them every step of the way, finally seeing those dressage scores improve, and feeling like they ACTUALLY want to work with you.

  • You CAN feel more in control and not worry that you will stay on in 9/10 situations, You won’t feel as tense in new places where your horse is looking at everything, Won’t feel nervous to get up when you know they may be a little bit fresh. You’ll finally feel like you understand the saying “superglued to the saddle”

  • You CAN get rid of that niggle once and for all, no more heat packs, no more foam rolling, no more painkillers before riding, you will instead feel more mobile and be able to focus on what you are doing instead of worrying that you will put out your shoulder/knee/hip again

  • You CAN beat your back pain, and will no longer dread mucking out stables, bending down to get anything off the ground or feeling that dull ache while riding.

At this point you feel like you’ve tried everything?

You've done lessons.

You've done clinics.

You've tried multiple instructors but you just can't seem to get it right.

Maybe it's time to try something different?

Having a training programme that you can do alongside your riding could be the thing that makes all the difference for you.

Help you strengthen the muscles in a way you cannot while in the saddle.

Help you improve your balance without the fear of falling off a half-tonne animal.

Help you feel more in control in all of the paces.

If this sounds like something that you NEED,  I can help you with this.

I specialise in "out of saddle" training programmes that help you improve those little things that you just can't do while riding.

I understand how you are feeling because I've been there too!

I've struggled with everything that I've listed above and this is where the idea was born.

My goal is to help equestrians get the most out of riding which is why I designed this programme just for equestrians.

I’ve put a few FAQS below to answer anything you might be thinking...

FAQS:

I have a really tight schedule how will I fit this in?

Look I get it, horses take up  A LOT of time but this is the great thing about coaching with me. This is not some cookie-cutter programme where you MUST Spend  X amount of hours in the gym or you FAIL. I tailor my programmes to the needs and availability of my clients. I want you to get the most enjoyment you can out of horse riding this is why if you have half an hour 3xs a week or an hour 2xs a week we can work to that. I only ask that you make yourself available for 1 half-hour check-in a week via Zoom so we can make sure everything is going well for you

How would gym work improve my riding?

Gym work is more than just lifting heavy weights or killing yourself doing burpees. By improving your strength your aids will be more clear to the horse when you ask them to do something. Strengthening your core will make improve your posture and help you feel more balanced in the saddle and Building muscle will help you protect your joints and bones when you fall off.

I am new to training how can I be sure I’m doing it right?

Don’t worry we’ve all been new to something once this is why outside of the Zoom calls you can contact me, I encourage people to send me videos so I can help them with it and improve the movement. The exercises that I use in programmes are straightforward and not like some of the mad ones you see on social media!

Am I too old to start something like this?

Not at all, I have worked with clients from the ages of 15-80+. You’re never too old to start, and the only thing I have heard from older clients is that they wish they started sooner!

I’d love to do this but I don’t have the money right now, Do you do payment plans?

Absolutely, I understand it can be a big investment (especially when you own a horse!) So this is why I do offer the option of paying over 2 or 3 instalments during the duration of the programme

I know that you’ve been reading this whole page and nodding to yourself so now is the time for you to take action!
